2000’s

'Bradbeers monumental head portraits are among the most unsettling images in recent Australian art.'

Sebastian Smee

Sydney Morning Herald 2002

'The imagery that emerged and retained constancy for me in the first decade of the new century was the  gazing full face image that I called 'Imago'. This visage, considered somewhat as an abstract entity is a site of immersive reflection rather than a portrait. As our culture accelerated with exponential momentum into near perpetual visual stimulation I sought a certain meditative calm and depth in these slow and static works.'
